Naked Heart Foundation, Natalia Vodianova and Mario Testino inaugurate Parques Teresita playground project in Peru. On October 21, the renowned Peruvian photographer Mario Testino opened Parques Teresita in Urubamba, Cusco
Testing launched his new social responsibility initiative in association with Natalia Vodianova, the founder of Naked Heart Foundation, the Provincial Municipality of Urubamba, and with the support of SURA Perú.
With this project, the Peruvian photographer shares the mission of Naked Heart Foundation, working to build an inclusive society that is open to people with disabilities and special needs, through encouraging play and creation of free support services for disadvantaged families. This first playground project in Peru, named Teresita in memory of Testino’s mother, is located in La Cantuta, near Kilometer 70 of the Ollantaytambo-Urubamba motorway. It is the first in a series of parks to be built in different districts around Peru.
The park has eleven different rides and games, with a capacity for approximately 500 children. The playground was built by EcoParques in collaboration with Provincial Municipality of Urubamba on an area of approximately 2,000 m2. The unveiling of the park hosted by Testing also included representatives from the Provincial Municipality of Urubamba, Natalia Vodianova and Jorge Ramos Raygada, Executive President of SURA Perú.
Mario Testino has contributed to the Naked Heart Foundation project since it began in 2004, through donating photographs that have helped to finance some of the charity’s programmes by Vodianova in Russia. As a guest of his friend Natalia Vodianova, Testino visited one of the foundation’s first parks at an oncological hospital for children. He was moved by the memory of his brother, who he lost to the very same disease. In response, he decided to create the Parques Teresita Project, dedicated to underprivileged children in his own country. This play park also became Naked Heart Foundation’s 173rd play facility since the charity started its work and the first outside Eurasia.
With the funds raised from the photographer’s most recent collaboration with the Naked Heart Foundation, and the assistance of SURA Perú, a company committed to the comprehensive development of the country and its communities, Testino decided to make the project a reality in the province of Urubamba. The Urubamba park is the first in a series that the photographer hopes to build throughout Peru, with the collaboration and support of private enterprises.
The Naked Heart Foundation was set up by Natalia Vodianova in 2004 following the Beslan school siege tragedy. Initially founded with the aim of constructing safe and inclusive play facilities in urban areas of Russia, the Foundation later expanded its scope of activities to include support services for families raising children with conditions such as autism, Down's syndrome, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities and other special needs. To date, the charity has built 175 accessible playgrounds and play parks in 114 cities and towns across Russia and internationally under its "Play with Purpose" programme. In addition, the organisation carries our extensive work to prevent child institutionalisation and develop a network of free, professional support services for families raising children with special needs under its core "Every Child Deserves a Family" programme.

As a nod to the splendour of 999 pure gold, MANSORY is giving its magnificent Rolls-Royce Wraith upgrade the name ‘Palm Edition 999’. But the number 9 can also be found in the maximum number of MANSORY-Wraiths available worldwide — by limiting the series to just nine custom-made unique pieces, the Palm Edition 999 gains even further exclusivity. With a keen sense of aesthetics and abundant experience in the processing of Rolls-Royce automobiles, the specialists at MANSORY have created a true piece of art for the road.
The two-tone paintwork alone brings the two-door MANSORY Rolls coupé to a new level with its skirt available in a distinguished white and golden colour scheme. Even the aerodynamics have been finely retuned by MANSORY: the bodywork package is crafted entirely from carbon, giving the Wraith stylish elegance and unrivalled individuality by the automobile manufacturer from the Bavarian town of Brand. But true luxury is found in the details: In the Palm Edition 999, the original badges have been replaced with logos and plaques that have been artfully finished with 999 pure gold. Upon request, MANSORY can gold plate all parts with a metallic surface — from the door handles, to the trim and sill guards, through to the radiator grille and ‘Emily’ enthroned above.
But it is not only the aesthetics that have been refined; under the long hood the old adage also applies: ‘Better is the enemy of good’. In the series version, the Wraith already attains 632 PS (465 kW) and a maximum torque of 800 Newton metres, but the MANSORY model exceeds this by a long shot: 740 PS
(544 kW) are now available at 5,000 revolutions per minute. In addition, the maximum torque that can be achieved is an irrepressible 1,000 Nm, which is available in the range from 1,500 to 5,500 rpm. This means the Palm Edition 999 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h within a mere 4.4 seconds. The maximum speed has been increased from 250 to 300 km/h.
This power is transferred onto the road by striking gold-coloured alloy wheels with a diameter of 22 inches. These ultra-high-performance wheels are encased with Vredestein tyres with the dimensions 265/35.
In the interior as well, the design department has worked in conjunction with the MANSORY upholstery team to outperform the luxury for which Rolls-Royce is famous. The masterfully crafted leather furnishings take their colour cue from the exterior paintwork and the interior features embroideries of the Palm logo in unsurpassed quality. There are also occasional refinements throughout the cockpit made from pure gold to add yet more individual accents.

Together with a new spoiler lip on the front, these aerodynamic parts provide additional downforce, which brings huge benefits at the extremely high speeds the refined Superveloce hits.
Both the front hood and the front fenders have been replaced with high-quality carbon parts from MANSORYs autoclave. New side skirts not only look bewitching, but shunt additional air to the engine and the high-performance brakes. At the same time, they smooth the airflow sweeping between the front and rear axles. A diffuser and an enlarged and more powerful spoiler at the back bring yet more aerodynamic advantages. These and many other full-carbon fibre elements in and on the J.S.1 Edition by MANSORY reduce the overall weight in comparison to the Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce by a total of 50 kg — apart from the design and the aerodynamics, a further advantage of the adept customisation by the company from the Fichtelgebirge.
The significant extra power of the MANSORY one-off was gained by the engine tuner with the help of a power-box, as well as a complete new exhaust system including manifold, muffler and tailpipes. Fiona, you were involved in the original MYBA Pop-Up Superyacht Show in September 2015. What were the plans and hopes you had regarding this show?
Working in close partnership with the team at Porto Montenegro, we wanted to create an informal opportunity for yacht charter brokers and sales brokers in order to inspect yachts that they may not have been able to see anywhere else, yachts that were based in the Adriatic or that were just finishing the summer season in the area. In addition, many brokers are not very familiar with this destination, so we wanted to give them an opportunity to explore Porto Montenegro and the Bay of Kotor so they could understand why this is becoming an increasingly popular cruising area for both yacht owners and charterers.
What are the advantages of Montenegro for international brokers and agents?
There is no tax on fuel or charter fees for charters starting in Montenegro so the fiscal and financial advantages are obvious for our clients. In addition, the safe, secure and exclusive facilities of Porto Montenegro offer an attractive haven for superyachts year-round as well as a perfect platform to explore the stunning coastline and islands of the Adriatic.
How did their numbers increase in 2016?
Brokers and agents attending the inaugural show in 2015 were excellent ambassadors to the industry and, as a result, we had a 65% increase in attendance this year.
Tell us about your plans for MYBA Pop-Up Superyacht Show 2017.
The feedback from this year’s show was very positive and we will only make a couple of minor changes to the programme for next year. For example, we will put more emphasis on the Yacht Hop, which allows crews to show brokers how they can entertain and impress their charter guests. We are also pushing the dates back by a week (from the first weekend of September to the second weekend) so that more yachts will be able to attend.
The role of MYBA Pop-Up Superyacht Show in the unification of international brokers and agents for the development of the infrastructure of Montenegro and the surrounding region cannot be overestimated, and 2017 must become the next major milestone for Porto Montenegro on the road to a promising future in the superyacht segment.
